21 Weeks

how far along? 21 weeks!(as of 5/11-I'm a little late)
Claire’s size: around 11 inches long… about the size of a butternut squash
weight gain: for the whole pregnancy, I’m in the hole 20 lbs.
maternity clothes? Bottoms- absolutely, though my tops still fit fine.
stretch marks? Yes, 3. GRRR! I knew it was only a matter of time before they started rearing their ugly heads. My skin has zero elasticity whatsoever. I'm going to try to refer to them as my tiger stripes :) Either way, they are going to be SO worth it.
sleep? The worst sleep ever! I am NEVER comfortable.
best moment this week? Feeling baby girl move around so much! She’s very active.
food cravings: Nope.
gender: Girl!
belly button in or out? In
movement? Absolutely! She’s always moving and grooving.
what I miss?  Sleeping through the night.
what I'm looking forward to: Enjoying the rest of this pregnancy and letting lil miss Claire grow and of course, decorating her nursery!
getting huge!
In other news.

We hit some yard sales this weekend! I was so anxious to find some good steals, and although I wasn’t terribly successful, I did score a few items.

{Before I go on, you must know that I am (and Matt too) very picky about things that I buy for my baby girl. I don’t just by any ol thing from any given sale. So before your turn your nose up and think I’m weird or gross, please know that I am VERY selective.}

Okay, back to my finds. I got a barely/very gently used slipcovered boppy pillow for $5! Seriously, It’s in PURR-FECT condition. I wouldn’t be happier with a new one, seriously. I almost peed my pants when I saw it and then was even more excited when I saw what they were asking for it. At that same sale I purchased 2 girly crib sheets for $1 each. They, too, were in great shape, no stains or rips/tears. I figured that these would be our back-up sheets (we will layer them once Claire starts sleeping in her crib- sheet/cover/sheet/cover). This will save energy and time if she happens to wet through her diapers in the middle of the night. Though, I’m thinking that won’t be an issue with her cloth diapers and doublers.

I got about 12-15 outfits for sleeping. 1 Sweater. 3 pairs of shoes. 2 books. I don’t think I spent more than $25 on everything, total (including the items in the previous paragraph).

When I called my mom yesterday, she was shopping her heart out at Goodwill (like every Sunday). She told me “it’s Claire’s day today”. Meaning, she was finding lots of goodies for my precious baby girl!

I can’t thank my family enough for everything that they have done/will  do over the next few months. Claire is lucky to be born into such a loving family.

Claire's glider is on it's way. It should be delivered within the next week. I am dying to sit in it and read to her every night. For about 2-3 weeks I've been reading her 3 books every night- Click Clack 123, On the Night You Were Born{my absolute fav}, and Goodnight Moon. When I read Goodnight Moon, I add her name in, instead of saying 'goodnight air', I say goodnight Claire. Oh how I love her already.

Have a wonderful week!!

Grow Claire, grow.
